This. I could not have said this better myself.

𝐆𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐰 𝐈𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐈𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐀 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫⁣

I can’t tell you how many times I hear people almost bragging about how low their calories are...it’s like letting you know how much they are suffering makes them feel superior to others⁣

“Look how low my calories are. Oh wow I am exhausted and starving but I’m still grinding everyday.” ⁣

Let’s get one thing straight...the goal should not be to lose weight on the lowest amount of calories, it should be to lose the most weight on the HIGHEST calories possible. ⁣

You’re not tough if you’re super low...nobody cares.

Now does that mean during times like prep at the very end your calories won’t be really low? No, they probably will be, but too many people don’t realize the difference between dieting for fat loss and dieting for contest prep...they are NOT one in the same.⁣

People will inquire about coaching with me and I really feel some times that they are trying to “show off” how low their calories are...well guess what? If I see calories really low and you’re not losing much weight I as a coach don’t see that as you working hard...I as a coach see that as you destroying your leptin levels and lowering metabolism overall. ⁣

I know in the industry you see and hear people talk about their “1100 calorie FDOE,” or prep on 1500 calories. ⁣

It’s important for the general public to under they are doing that for a specific goal and for a VERY short period of time restively speaking ⁣

If you think you can sustain any quality of life on sub 1200 calories for long your sorely mistaken...and if you’re around 10 calories per lbs of LBM and not seeing much weight loss (or none at all), you aren’t going to lose by dropping lower...you probably need a diet break or to start reversing out.⁣
