There are no shortcuts.
This Monday I want to discuss something very important. “Dieting shortcuts.” You all know what I’m referring too: Those promises of overnight success.
Don’t fall for promises that sound too good to be true! Remember the adage, “if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.”
Quick fixes to fat loss; wouldn’t that be nice??However, the reality is; that quick dieting promises turn into lasting problems and heavy rebounds.
We have been programmed today to have an immediate fix or solution to a fat loss goal when unfortunately, this just isn’t the answer for sustainable results. The reality is that it took us time to get to a place of unhappiness with our physique if you are searching for fat loss. Not only do we need to put in work to achieve our goals; but we also need to see the changes in our lifestyles and relationship to food and exercise needed to stay there. Once you achieve your goal there is still work to be done to maintain that goal. Fitness doesn’t “end” it simply adapts to what we want our goals to look like as we journey through life.
Change can be hard.
But…
The right change...the sustainable and attainable change, can be so rewarding. Don’t let your inner voice convince you of some magic pill. If there was a magic pill, no one would struggle with fat loss.
It is a journey, not a race.
I’d be honored to lead you in your journey if you are struggling to achieve the results you have been working for. Understand up front that I don’t promote fast overnight fixes. There are none. It’s a healthy, maintainable, consistent change.
