Growth, Goals and Non-Scale Victories

Let’s talk today about our goals and keeping them in tune with growth in our lives.

It’s very easy to lay out a plan and then mentally check out as the months progress because we feel we’ve already done this part. We have already set goals and no longer need to consider them.

What we sometimes forget to do is re-visit these goals and make sure they are still applicable and to make sure we are working towards them and not just saying we are.

If you have a well laid out plan and are following it and putting in the work, you will get results.

If you have a well laid out plan and are only do half the work, or only half adhering to your nutrition plan, or having many more “screw it” days than you know you should then you need to re-evaluate what is important to you. We all know when we are slacking. This requires honestly to yourself. You cannot fudge your way through the kitchen. Your results will call you out.

Every. Single. Time.

Perhaps your goal that you set isn’t the correct goal. Perhaps you need to adjust your goals when you really get down to it to something more attainable for your current lifestyle. You must consider what you are, and are not, willing to do to attain it! Adjusting our goals is perfectly fine! There is absolutely nothing wrong with coming to the realization that our initial goal was perhaps just not the right goal.

Back to the drawing board we go and adjust. That’s the beauty of the system! Constant checking of ourselves and constant growth!

If you have been working your body in the gym and aren’t seeing results over a good portion of time (I’m not talking about 2-3 weeks into your lifting career) then you really need to re-evaluate your nutrition end first and then what you actual efforts have been in the gym.

This is where a coach can help you!! Feeling lost? Feeling frustrated? Feeling unsure?? Talk to me!!! Let’s connect and get you started on the right path and get those results you are working to achieve!
