Be Coachable

So many changes occur mentally when we enter a new endeavor. I am speaking only in regards to fitness as that’s what I do but honestly this could apply to all new endeavors, fitness or non!

Being coachable is one of the top tips I have. If you already have all the answers and all the knowledge then apply it!! This is great for you!!

However, if you are reaching out because nothing you have done has “worked,” then be coachable. When we enter a new fitness endeavor we have to keep an open mind and be willing to change. If you are unwilling to change prior habits or lifestyle settings to get on the correct path to get to your goals then nothing will change—ever.

We have to look deep to determine if that change is really something we want or more of a “lip service“ for the sake of appeasing our minds for a moment in time.

Change is never easy! More often than not, quite frankly scary. Giving that worry of “How do I do this?” to someone else can definitely ease the transition.

Entering into prep myself is bit scary. It’s an extremely challenging path with many, many changes to my routine. Scary? Kinda—but the rewards for me far outweigh the prior emotion. I earn mental toughness, I have earned my physique goals. I get to claim that. It’s mine and that gives me great satisfaction knowing I can do this regardless of the many, many events life throws my way.

Prioritize yourself and your health. You have one body. Allow yourself that ownership and watch how you change!!
